The Read & Print system eliminates all of these problems by printing personalized addresses, marketing messages, and postal barcodes directly onto plain windowless envelopes — with camera verification ensuring every single piece is accurate.
The system works by combining two products Mailtech distributes and integrates: a Lake Image Discovery camera module reads a barcode or invisible code on the document inside the envelope (or on the envelope itself at an upstream station), queries your mail file database, and triggers a DPi M7 inkjet printhead to print the correct recipient address, return address, IMB postal barcode, and any personalized marketing content onto the envelope exterior. A second camera downstream verifies that what was printed matches the database record. Any mismatch triggers an automatic reject — diversion, VOID mark, or equipment stop.

How It Works
READ: Lake Image Discovery camera scans a barcode or code on the mail piece or document, queries the mail file database, and retrieves the corresponding recipient data.
PRINT: DPi M7 inkjet prints the address, postal barcode, return address, and any variable marketing content onto the windowless envelope at production speed.
VERIFY: A second Lake Image camera downstream confirms the printed output matches the database record. Mismatches trigger automatic reject.
